Unsanctioned Vendors

Any vendor that integrates with Carestream Dental software and does not appear on our Authorized Partner list is doing so without our authorization.

The vendors below are not authorized by Carestream Dental. Each has been identified — based on the vendor’s own public representations on its website or in marketing materials, together with reports from customers and other information available to us — as integrating with one or more Carestream Dental products. None of these vendors have been authorized, approved, or governed under Carestream Dental’s partner program, and none integrate with our software through a sanctioned method. We provide this list so that practices can make informed decisions about who they allow to access their systems and their patients’ information.

This list reflects vendors known to Carestream Dental and is based on a range of sources, including each vendor’s own public representations, reports from customers, and other information available to us. The list may be updated from time to time.  If you are listed here and believe you should not be — for example, because you do not in fact integrate with our products — please contact us at senseiintegrations@csdental.com so we can review. Where we are able to confirm that a vendor no longer integrates with our software, we will update this page accordingly; removing or revising a public representation of an integration does not, by itself, establish that the integration has ceased.

Why This Matters

Because integrations from unsanctioned vendors have not been reviewed or approved by Carestream Dental, we cannot verify how they access, read, modify, or store the information in your practice management system, including patient data. Unsanctioned integrations may access or write to your database in ways we do not sanction and cannot support; may stop working correctly or put your data at risk as we release new versions of our software; and are not covered by the commitments or support that apply to authorized partners. We recommend that practices use only authorized partners, and that you confirm a vendor appears on this page before granting it access to your system or your patients’ information.

Protecting Patient Information

Dental practices are responsible for safeguarding the patient information in their care. Under HIPAA, practices are covered entities with ongoing obligations to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected health information (PHI), and to exercise appropriate diligence over the vendors and tools that access it.


When a third party creates, receives, maintains, or transmits PHI on a practice’s behalf, that third party generally acts as a business associate, and HIPAA requires an appropriate written agreement (a business associate agreement) together with appropriate safeguards. A vendor that connects to your practice management system without authorization may be accessing PHI outside the agreements and protections you have established.


Carestream Dental makes no representation as to whether any particular unsanctioned vendor does or does not comply with HIPAA, and a practice cannot rely on Carestream Dental for any assurance about an unsanctioned vendor’s data practices. When a practice allows an unsanctioned vendor to access its systems, it assumes full and ongoing responsibility for that vendor’s conduct — including how patient information is accessed, used, transmitted, and stored — for as long as that access continues. That responsibility, and the associated risk, rests entirely with the practice; it cannot be transferred to the vendor and is not discharged by the vendor’s own assurances.

Authorized partners are the only integrations Carestream Dental has reviewed and approved, and the only integrations to which the commitments of our partner program apply. We strongly encourage practices to rely on authorized partners rather than place patient information — and their own compliance posture — in the hands of a vendor operating outside that program.
